Eligibility Requirements: Who Can Apply?

The fellowship is open to entrepreneurs leading for-profit startups that are actively working on solutions related to climate resilience and food security in Africa. Key eligibility criteria include:

  • Location: The venture must be based in and/or serving an African country or countries.
  • Stage: Applicants must have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) with the potential to scale and be working on the venture full-time.
  • Team Composition: Applicants may apply with up to one co-founder, must be the CEO or hold primary decision-making power, and must be fluent in English.
  • Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 21 years old by the start of the program.
  • Program Engagement: Fellows must be able to fully participate in all program activities and sessions.
  • Impact Focus: The venture must contribute towards one or more of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
