Calling all African entrepreneurs! The TotalEnergies Startupper of the Year Challenge is back for its 4th edition, spanning 32 African countries in celebration of the company's 100th anniversary. This prestigious challenge aims to empower and uplift young African entrepreneurs, providing them with the support and resources needed to turn their innovative ideas into reality.
Requirements
Are you the owner of a startup less than 3 years old or do you have a pioneering business idea waiting to be developed? If so, this challenge is for you! To be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a business creation project or own a startup under 3 years old with a positive impact on your community or the planet.
- Be between the ages of 18 and 35, born between May 1, 1988, and April 30, 2006.
- Reside in the country where you are applying.
- Have either a startup registered in the application country no earlier than April 30, 2020, or a business idea ready to be developed a few months after the challenge.
Categories
The TotalEnergies Startupper of the Year Challenge offers three distinct categories, each rewarding innovation and sustainability:
1. Innov’Up: Winners in this category will be selected in each participating country, with an additional four international winners chosen by a prestigious jury in the Power’Up category.
2. Cycl’Up: This category recognizes startups or business ideas that exemplify the principles of the circular economy.
3. Power’Up: Rewarding startups or business ideas focused on promoting sustainable and affordable energies.
