The See Her Empowered (SHE) Awards Eastern Africa 2024

The SHE Eastern Africa Awards 2024, held on July 26th at the Simba Corp Aspire Centre, was a spectacular event recognizing the exceptional achievements of women entrepreneurs from Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, and Kenya. Launched in 2021, SHE AWARDS is an annual non-monetary business awards ceremony aimed at recognizing, rewarding, and retaining high-quality creative entrepreneurship, innovation, research, and development, leading to sustainable women-led SMEs. This year's theme, "SHE INNOVATES," celebrated the relentless spirit of innovation within every woman entrepreneur, honoring groundbreaking ideas, creative solutions, and forward-thinking initiatives that women bring to the entrepreneurial landscape.

Background of the SHE Awards

SHE AWARDS was conceived to acknowledge and appreciate women founders who are contributing significantly to the development of their nations while creating jobs through entrepreneurship. It also aims to motivate women who are yet to start their own businesses. Since its inception, the awards have been a platform for recognizing the efforts and successes of women in various fields, encouraging more women to engage in entrepreneurial activities.

The 2024 Event
